The British Genetics of Hypertension (BRIGHT) study is a research collaboration between 6 UK universities with the aim of finding genes causing high blood pressure using large-scale family studies. We hope that the discovery of genes causing high blood pressure will ultimately lead to new diagnostics, improved therapeutic targets and better prediction of those at greatest risk.
