Haplotype Tagging SNPs (htSNPs) are a subset of single nucleotide polymorphisms in a DNA region that capture the most haplotype diversity. tagSNPer accurately identifies the tagging SNPs in datasets. It can also include insertion/deletion polymorphisms into the analysis.
